Study of regularities in microbial growth and development in water of different genesis.
The goal of the scientific research work: execution of combined field and laboratory tests with different ecological-trophic groups of microorganisms involved in biogeochemically essential processes of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, and metal cycles in reservoirs.
The fundamental scientific issues for 2006-2010:
Structural-functional organization of microbial communities under extreme conditions in natural and technogenic ecosystems of the West Pre-Urals;
Examination of the composition and functional role of phyto-, and bacterioperiphyton of the Kama river and its tributaries;
Investigation of the old fossils and current microbial communities at the site of a number of potassium salt deposits: species composition and physiological peculiarities, biogeochemical activity and prospects for application;
Ecological genetics of antibiotic-resistant multi-resistant bacterial strains of different genera. The study of the role of Acinetobacter spp. in microbial ecology of a human.
Pilot project: "Integrons of nosocomial and natural bacterial strains: monitoring, molecular peculiarities, circulation, and functional role".
